This review is about the company, not our photographer. We paid $3K for just photography (gold package). I gave them three stars because booking with them was easy and they answere...d our questions ahead of the wedding. However, communication via email close to and after the wedding is where things went wrong. We did not receive the invoice until after the wedding, (lots of phone tag and emails beforehand left plenty of opportunities) meaning we couldn't pay the invoice when it was due. This caused a delay in receiving our previews and photos, which was only a few days, so it was fine.
The editing was not in the style we chose. We chose timeless. We did get white skies and sometimes dark trees, but the photos were extremely flat, over saturated and over exposed. The skin editing was heavy and made it look unrealistic, they also messed up some facial features, which they did fix.
Their email style is just copy and paste AI, and overly positive. It's not authentic and it's dismissive as it took several emails to actually get dates from them when our photos would be ready. And at one point their response to fixing the sky in our family portraits was, "Hi Noelle! unfortunately, It is not salvageable! - It was not exposed properly. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you!" Except that other portraits from the same time and same place had a blue sky. However, they were able to fix it when I pointed that out, or at least they photoshopped a sky in.
We communicated our issues and they did fix the facial features, put the sky back in where it was needed, but our outdoor photos, particularly the portraits, are still flat, over-exposed, and over-saturated. I've given up on asking them to fix it. Maybe someone else can try to salvage the portraits. The other photos were fine, or issues were due to flash, it was mainly our portraits.
I'm also adding that I did speak with other professional photographers/editors and they agree the portraits weren't done well. I do not believe the actual photographs were the issue here, it was the editing/style.
I'll include a few portraits in the review. You can look at those, and the ones they put in their "timeless" portfolio and decide for yourself- https://www.epicphotos.com/style-chooser-page?utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=dfw
